Al Gore and a U.N. committee have received the Nobel Peace Prize. Is this a backhanded compliment?
What does global warming have to do with peace? I find it interesting that Al didn't receive the award for science.
Of course, no award for "science" exists. But one does exist for physics and chemistry. So how does the weather fit into peace?
The Nobel Foundation has cheapened their prize. Past prizes have gone for economic development efforts, nuclear disarmament, democracy efforts and the rights of women and children.
Oh, wait ... I'm too late. The prize was cheapened in 2002 when it was awarded to Jimmy Carter.
My bad.
